If you’re craving some authentic lip-smacking North Indian dishes and want to try out a new place, Ghar Ki Thalli might just be the right stop.

With items, varying from soups, rotis and rice dishes to noodles and more, the eatery has plenty to offer. The owner, Sanjay Singh, who hails from Uttar Pradesh, came to Bangalore looking for a job and then started this eatery almost three years
ago.

He says that despite Bangalore being in the southern part of the country and many people here preferring non-vegetarian food, the eatery has done
fairly well.

“We have loyal customers who come back for our dal fry, aloo mutter masala, bhindi fry, palak paneer, mushroom masala, paneer 65 and more. We have almost all the items one can think of which are typically North Indian,” he claims.

The eatery, which is homely, serves food in the simplest manner. “But we don’t compromise on quantity.

We whip up dishes everyday with the freshest of supplies. We are customer-friendly and are always open to preparing dishes according to the requirements of the
customer,” says Sanjay.

He adds, “Our customers come with varied needs.

We get customers from the hospital nearby and often they come with demands like
food cooked in less oil, salt and masalas. We incorporate those changes accordingly.”
Another speciality that Sanjay points out is that the food prepared here is without
lassan pyaz and this is especially for the Jain community.

“We prepare dal fry, paneer butter masala, channa masala, green peas masala and even kaju masala in this  manner,” he proudly says.

The regular items that most customers order are the ‘mini meals’ along with other side dishes and rotis, says Sanjay. Regular customers like Aswin, a team leader, says that the food served is very homely, which brings him back to this place.

“The place is very hygienic and doesn’t include extra , just for the sake of taste and presentation. Their food is simple, yet tasty and healthy,” he affirms. Manish, a strategy manager, has been enjoying the food here for the last three years.

“The service is fast and good, and people are very friendly. They serve food exactly like it is served at home, with the right amount of spices,” he says. “The service offered justifies the name of the place,” he wraps up.

This eatery is located at No. 72, 1st floor, near Anjenaya Temple, HAL 3rd stage, New Thippasandra Main Road.
