Imagine jumping off a speeding jeep, 120 ft above ground level. It’s unimaginable for an ordinary man but for someone like Telugu actor Vishnu Manchu, such feats are not challenging enough.

Vishnu recently did this stunt sequence for his forthcoming Telugu action movie Doosukeltha. “I got cold feet minutes before I could jump off the jeep but once I did it, the feeling was one of triumph. What is more exciting is that I got it right in the first take itself,” Vishnu shares with Metrolife.

The sequence was choreographed by Thai stuntman Kecha, who was all praises for the actor for doing the stunt without a body double. “In fact, I suggested that we do something different in the film and I was prepared to take the plunge. We first went up on a crane, analysed the situation and I was pretty confident about the stunt,” he adds.

Soon after this sequence, Vishnu had to shake a leg for the introductory song of Doosukeltha. “I ended up with cramps in my leg but I had to finish the dance sequence. Shooting for this movie has been pretty taxing from all quarters,” he informs.

Along with all this action, Vishnu is also busy getting his home production, a
multi-starrer, underway. “Producing and acting in the film is no easy task. When my father is around, he wants everything done to perfection, leaving nothing to chance. From this latest production, I’ve learnt to handle every aspect of film-making, so much so that I don’t eat or relax unless I am satisfied with the work,” explains Vishnu.

Vishnu and his father have strong links with the City. He never misses a chance to watch a Kannada film not only because he has some good friends in the Kannada film industry but also because he believes some of the Kannada films have good scripts. “I will soon watch a Kannada film with Sudeep which, if everything goes well, will
be remade into a Telugu film,” he says.
