<p>Jyoti Nivas College Post-Graduate Centre recently celebrated its orientation day on campus. <br /><br /></p>.<p>The senior students of MBA, MFA, MA (English), MSc (organic chemistry) and MCA organised a programme to orient the freshers to the culture of the college. <br /><br />Through video presentations, the freshers came to know about the core values of the college like the belief in God, truth, honesty, good relationships and team work. <br /><br />The director of the college Sr Lalitha spoke to them on a philosophical level. On the occasion, the bi-yearly research journal called Dhii was also released. <br /><br />Sabha Shareez, a first-year MBA student, said, “It was a very entertaining and educative programme. I was impressed by the inclusive culture in which the scripture readings of different holy books were encouraged. <br /><br />During the induction, I also came to know about the core values of the college, which will not only help me in academic work but will empower me in life.”<br /><br />Kirthi Mariam P, a fresher, added, “The senior students of different departments warmly welcomed us and made us feel at home. <br /><br />They briefed us about the wonderful qualities and essentials required to meet the curriculum. My batchmates and I are excited to make the best use of the educational opportunities that are provided here and successfully exploit them to face the future.”<br /><br />The celebration came to a close with a vibrant cultural programme in which the senior students danced to the latest Bollywood tunes.<br /></p>
