Few foreign tourists return disappointed

Some foreign tourists, despite ‘buying’ the ticket to the ‘gallery of foreigners’, near Ayurveda Medical College, were denied acess to the place during the procession. Reason - their delayed arrival to the venue, dampening the spirits of foreigners who had travelled all the way to Mysore with overwhelming enthusiasm.

No amount of pleading with the organisers helped matters. 

Sara, one among the unfortunates speaking to Deccan Herald said that her journey to Mysore, a long way from Spain had come to a painful end after she was denied access to the place to witness the key event. “I was delayed by traffic - i was late by just five to ten minutes,” she rued. 

There were many like Sara. 

Erric, from Switzerland said that it was a bit harsh on the part of organisers to stop them from going to the venue. “I admit that, we were bit late. We have genuine reasons to claim our rights to see the Jamboo Savari. We are disappointed with the way we have been treated today,” he added.
