Sharing his experience with mediapersons in Mangalore on Thursday, Director Varghese said that the film’s subject was treated in such a way that the movie has been receiving wide appreciation from viewers as a good family entertainer. “The film which was considered as a class movie in the beginning has later been turned into a mass, youth and family entertainer,” he said.
The film portrays a series of happenings which gives importance to family relations and love, Varghese said adding that most of the incidents in the movie are all correlated to real life.
He said that the film was shot without any obscene sequences. Hence, family members can watch the movie sitting together, he assured.
Varghese said that the speciality of the film is that it has been shot completely in Karnataka. “Our endeavour was to preserve the value of land and language through shooting the film completely in the State,” he added.
‘Savari,’ which is the 10th film from the Ushakiran Movies of Ramoji Film City, is being exhibited at 31 centres across the State at present and it will be shown in more centres soon, he said.
Varghese had directed two short films including ‘Anthyam’ (Malayalam) and Putti (Kannada) before entering the commercial movie field. ‘Paris Pranaya’ fame Raghu Mukherjee, who played the lead role in ‘Savari’ and supporting actor Shrinagara Kitti were also present at the press meet.
