3 from coastal region selected for Miss India South 2010 pageant

Addressing media persons, judge of the event and holder of ‘Pantaloon Femina Miss India Universe - 2009’ title Ekta Choudhary said that three girls including Namitha Shetty (20), Sara Dhillon (22) and Sonia Shetty (23) were shortlisted to participate in the elimination round to be held at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) in Hyderabad on December 7. Thereafter, the selected contestants will undergo a residential training for 10 days at Novotel in Hyderabad from December 13, she said adding that the Pantaloons Femina Miss India South Grand Finale will be held at the HICC in Hyderabad on December 23.

“I am extremely enthusiastic to be associated with Pantaloons Femina Miss India 2010 and hope to do full justice to the cause. The event is a fabulous opportunity for girls from South India to come out of their shells and move beyond their city lifestyle,” Ekta said.

Namitha Shetty, a Mass Communication degree holder with specialisation in advertisement is a model. Sara Dhillon is a medical student on clinical rotation at KMC International Centre in Manipal. Meanwhile, Sonia Shetty, an MBA graduate, is a resident of Yekkaru in Mangalore.
