Poonam Pandey is the ultimate sexy siren, who knows how to remain in the limelight. Last time her promis to strip for the Indian Cricket team in the event of India winning the World Cup turned in headlines and this time her semi-nude photograph before Lord Vishnu for an advertisement is creating a buzz.
Unimpressed, the Bangalore Court has, however, served a letter to the actress. She clarifies, “There has been a misunderstanding because I haven’t done anything like this. It is definitely one of my fans who has morphed the image. I have been requesting my fans not do such things as it affects me,” says Poonam.
What about her promise on stripping? “It’s been two years now. I have got whatever benefit I could get out of it,” replies Poonam, who did not strip, but time and again posted semi-nude photographs of herself on social networking sites to keep herself in the news.
Ask her what makes her so comfortable with nudity, Poonam says, “I can do anything for my fans. They love me for what I am and I will continue to do what makes them happy.” She sounds content and does not want to break the image she has created. “Even if I am 40 years I will continue to wear bikinis and will continue with what I am doing now,” replies Poonam confidently.
Her stance makes her quite comfortable with items songs too. Presently shooting for an item song for a Kannada film, she says, “People criticise me for whatever I do but it doesn’t bother me because I know myself. I will amaze people with my dancing skills and it will be a slap on the faces of those who think I cannot do anything.” We’re looking forward to another avatar too!
