She clarifies, “There has been a misunderstanding because I haven’t done anything like this. It is definitely one of my fans who has morphed the image. I have been requesting my fans not do such things as it affects me,” says Poonam. <br /><br />What about her promise on stripping? “It’s been two years now. I have got whatever benefit I could get out of it,” replies Poonam, who did not strip, but time and again posted semi-nude photographs of herself on social networking sites to keep herself in the news. <br /><br />Ask her what makes her so comfortable with nudity, Poonam says, “I can do anything for my fans. They love me for what I am and I will continue to do what makes them happy.” She sounds content and does not want to break the image she has created. “Even if I am 40 years I will continue to wear bikinis and will continue with what I am doing now,” replies Poonam confidently.<br /><br />Her stance makes her quite comfortable with items songs too. Presently shooting for an item song for a Kannada film, she says, “People criticise me for whatever I do but it doesn’t bother me because I know myself.
