Villagers lock up GP secretary

 The reason is that though the residents of the said village have been sick for many days the GP did not pay any attention towards them. Raged by this negligent attitude the villagers gathered at the GP office an locked them up from 5 pm to 7 pm on Monday evening.

All the villagers fell sick after drinking polluted water but the elected representatives did not even bother visiting the village to enquire about their health or to take steps to provide good drinking water.

Villagers said that there is only one borewell that provides drinking water to Beguru. There is a sewage pipeline running close to the borewell. The sewage water must have got into the drinking water contaminating the water and drinking this water people fell sick. They said that since many days villagers are getting water from elsewhere.

Dr Mahanthesh informed that over 80 people have fallen sick, of whom condition of 10 people is critical. Tahshildar visited the villagers and assured to provide one more bore well.
