The owner of Jabbar travels has denied that the bus carried inflammable cargo.
“The company did not load any cargo onto the bus,” he said. “The cargo dispatch was placed on a separate mini-ruck which left along with the Volvo bus from Kalasiplaya at around the same time.”
He added that the mini-truck was at least 10 minutes behind the bus. “In fact, the mini-truck driver first alerted the company of the accident at around 5:15 am,” he said.
Jabbar Travels has cancelled all buses running on Bangalore-Hyderabad and Hyderabad-Mumbai routes from Wednesday.
