The lyrics in our time were beautiful," Parekh said."The dancing is modernised today. I hope there is more of folk, classical dance in films. The people of today must not forget India and our traditions," she said.

A tile bearing the hand print of the 71-year-old actress was unveiled today. It will later be installed at 'Walk of the Stars' promenade in Bandra.

"It's an honour to get this. I am touched and grateful to everyone for the support," she said. The actress started her career as a child artiste under screen name Baby Asha Parekh in film 'Aasmaan' in 1952.
