Over 400 people walked the three-and-a-half kilometre stretch to promote November 25 as meatless, which also coincides with the birth anniversary of the Mission's founder Sadhu T L Vaswani. The event was part of a similar mission carried out in ten other cities across the country.

Apart from this, the organisation also approached 205 schools in the City. "We created awareness to stop killing of all animals and also distributed pledge forms to be given to their family and relatives. We have received four and a half lakh pledges till date," said Rahul, one of the Mission members.

To reach out to more people, they have also planned to set up kiosks on November 24 at Commercial Street, Brigade Road, Garuda Mall, Forum Mall and Sigma Mall. The volunteers will request people to take pledge to be vegetarian at least on November 25.
