Ramesh Chandra, lecturer with Skanda Aviation College, Nelamangala, was on Friday allegedly locked up in  a room and thrashed by the institute’s director and three others for demanding his pending salary.

A native of Hindupur in Andhra Pradesh, Chandra met college principal Neeraja Sudarshan and demanded his salary dues for the last four months, his original marks cards and other documents. Neeraja informed her husband Sudarshan, the director, about the matter and the latter asked Chandra to come to his chamber to settle the issue, police said.

After allegedly locking him up inside the chamber, Sudarshan attacked him with computer spare parts, bound him with a wire and let three others beat him, before setting him free, police said.

The victim’s father Rajesh took his son to a hospital for treatment before lodging a complaint. “My son demanded the original marks cards and salary which led to the incident,” Rajesh alleged.
