From modelling for big brands to bagging the lead role in a Kannada and Bollywood film, Inayatt Sharma has certainly had a lucky year.

But the actress, who has completed the shoot of her Sandalwood debut Vishesha, is now eager to establish herself in the Southern film industry.

Though the industry is filled with ‘Bombay girls’, Inayatt says that it’s the confidence and the belief in herself that has brought her so far and will help her sustain.
“I agree that there are many girls out there trying to get their big break in films. But I feel that if one has the confidence and talent, it is possible to sustain in movies and I feel I have that in me to make it,” says Inayatt.

Playing the simple and sweet girl in Vishesha, Inayatt says that it was the storyline and the character Nitya that she portrays in the film that she fell in love with.

“I can totally relate to my character Nitya. Like me, she too is a very straight-forward and simple girl. And the story is a very different one,” she explains. Shooting in the City for the first time, Inayatt says that the team she was working with made her really comfortable and she didn’t face too much trouble with the language either.

“On my first day on the sets, we did a dance sequence and it was so much fun. I will always remember my time in Bangalore,” she adds.

Soon, the actress will start shooting for a Bollywood film called ‘Dhun –– Melody of Emotion’. “While Vishesha is a romance-cum-action film, Dhun... is an out-and-out romantic film. Though, I have signed on a Bollywood project, it doesn’t mean I am done with the southern film industry.

I want to concentrate more on Southern films and work in good movies and build
my career,” says Inayatt, who will soon be signing a Tamil film as well.
