The Karnataka State Billiards Association (KSBA) felicitated Vidya Pillai for her gold in the 6 Red snooker Nationals in February at a function at the KSBA on Wednesday.
KSBA also honoured Chitra Magimairaj for her bronze in the recently concluded IBSF Worlds in Latvia. While Vidya walked away with a cash award of Rs 40,000, Chitra got Rs 20,000.
Chitra felt that showing aggression at the wrong time during the meet cost her dear.
“I started really well in the first frame with a break of 38 and then missed the routine blue in the second frame and gave away the lead.
In the third frame Wendy (she lost to Wendy Jans in the semis at Latvia) had a break of 59. I showed aggression at wrong time,” Chitra said.
