Last Updated 25 December 2013, 13:34 IST

Talking trees and elephants, crocodiles and lions, giraffes and jugglers, monkeys and puppets... all come alive in the heart of the forest with tales and songs from an Indian childhood.

‘Karadi Path’ is presenting ‘Karadi Rhymes – Once Upon A Bak-Bak Tree’, a
musical based on the evergreen Karadi Rhymes on December 29 at Good Shepherd auditorium, FM Cariappa Road, Ashok Nagar. There will be two shows at 4 pm and 7 pm, on the same day.

Produced by Karadi Tales and Evam, this theatrical production celebrates Indian childhood through stories and songs from the well-loved Karadi Rhymes audiobooks. The songs are strung together with a brilliant, interactive script and brought alive with a mesmerising soundtrack and an extraordinary team of professional actors and singers. Well-known playback singer Anoorada Sriram will be performing live as part of the musical.

The play has incorporated the original lyrics by Shobha Viswanath, co-founder, Karadi Tales. The production features several songs originally sung by the pop legend Usha Uthup.

The well-known entertainment company, Evam is on board to design and direct the play. The tickets are priced at Rs 750, Rs 500 and Rs 250. Tickets are available at Blossom Book Shop.
