Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday held a meeting with all of the bureaucrats of the Delhi government. He assured that he will not indulge in any ‘witch-hunt’ and motivated officers to work sincerely. After a 15-minute long interaction session in the meeting, he clarified that honest officials must not be scared of him.

“You (bureaucrats) do not need to worry at all. Media has published such news that when Kejriwal will come he will use hunter on officers. I know that many of you are honest and I need your help to run the government. We will work together to make the city better. You people are the backbone of the government,” he said.

He also suggested the ‘dishonest’ officials to work forget what they have done till now.
“I would like to request the bureaucrats who are not honest to forget whatever has happened in past. They should work honestly with the new government,” he said.
In the meeting, he also announced that no bureaucrat will use beacons and security cover will be provided on request and only on threat perception.

While giving lessons of honesty to bureaucrats, he also referred to an incident of Ramlila Ground during his 13 day fast for Janlokpal with Gandhian social activist Anna Hazare in April.
