The taste of home-made food is always more attractive and finds many takers. ‘Food King’, located in Babusaplaya, gives its customers the satisfaction of home-cooked food and makes them come back for more.

This cosy eatery is owned by Desmond and Brian Vincent, who prepare the dishes themselves and are helped by the rest of the family. A mixed bag of flavours, the eatery serves Indian, Chinese and Anglo-Indian food along with different kinds of rolls.

“The eatery is an extension of our house and it is a family affair, where everyone chips in. We serve all kinds of food but the most popular food that we serve are the rolls. Brian and I make the rolls. Since the food that we serve is made by us, it is very hygienic and has a very different taste. The noodles are equally popular. Many customers come during lunch time and in the evening to try the noodles and rolls. There is a mixed crowd. We have youngsters as well as professionals coming in,” says Desmond.

Fast-food lovers have a lot to choose from — vegetarian fried rice, egg fried rice, chicken fried rice and chicken and egg fried rice among others. The best part about the food here is that it is light on the pocket and very tasty.
