Woman found dead

A 39-year-old woman from Tumkur was found dead in a roadside trench in Hoovunayakanahalli near Yelahanka on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Ganga Chandrashekar  who was running “Spandana,” a school for differently-abled children in Tumkur. Ganga was married to Chandrashekar and the couple had two children. Chandrashekar died a few years ago.

According to police, Ganga was living with Harish, a rowdy allegedly involved in a murder case. Last year, Ganga and Harish had a bitter quarrel and the former had lodged a complaint against Harish in Tumkur and Bagalur police stations. However, an official said Ganga arranged for the bail when Harish was arrested. The two were living together after his release.

Police said Ganga had been to a hospital in Tumkur and returned to City at night with Harish. Her son followed the two on his bike up to the rented room in the area where he stayed. However, he said both his mother and Harish were missing since Saturday morning. Bagalur police have registered a case.
