Painting on solid waste management

 
Town Panchayat President H J Kariappa said there is a need to create an awareness on solid waste management to the people. Jilla Vijnana Parishat President M G Prabhudev said instead of plastic, one should use paper and thus save environment. Kodava Academy member Ranu Appanna, Columnist Bharadwaj Kanive and others were held.

Winners

M K Poonam of Fathima School won first place in the painting competition held for primary school level. Jnana Bharathi School student Srijan, Fathima School’s K L Yashaswini, won prizes in essay competition. Fathima High School’s R Kusuma, Girls Government Composite High School student A K Chaitra, Jnanabharathi School’s T S Shaija won first three places. In the elocution competition, Kannada Bharathi PU College’s N A Ajith, Wisdom Women’s College student Kiran Jyothi and Vivekananda PU College student J M Prasanna Kumar won the first three prizes.
