
The minister informed the mediapersons, “The State government had taken all necessary measures based on the report of Lokayukta. The Government had also filed FIR wherever it was required. The mines continue to function by securing stay from the High Court. There is no illegal mining in the State,” he said.
The minister, who was in a happy mood, said, “We are dignified and honest people. This can be known through our donation of Rs one crore to Sri Krishna temple.” The minister is in the temple town to take part in the inaugural ceremony of ‘Annabramha,’ the new dining hall constructed by the Paryaya Puttige mutt on Sunday at Sri Krishna mutt.
Referring to the demand by former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Reddy said that the TDP leader is a nasty politician indulging in cheap politics.
“He need not teach us lessons. We are here to serve the people. The God will protect those who take up right path in their life,” he said.
Confident of winning
Janardhana Reddy said the BJP was confident of sweeping December 18 polls to the Legislative Council. Later, the minister visited Sri Krishna temple and held discussions with the Sri Sugunendratheertha of Paryaya Puttige mutt. He will take part in the 'Rathotsav' which will be held in the night.
In the meantime, Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, who was scheduled to arrive in the temple city on Saturday evening, would be arriving here on
Sunday.
