The students of International School of Management Excellence (ISME) took part in a collage competition which was organised as part of the Valentine’s Day celebrations in the college. The literary club of the college put together the event on the theme ‘love as a universal emotion’.

The teams were given the required materials and  were asked to express creatively what the word love meant to them. The event saw the youngsters scrambling and scurrying with newspapers and magazines to come up with a creative piece.

The class was divided into different groups and the rules were given to all of them. Each team brainstormed on what would be an appropriate structure and how it could be captured aesthetically.

Mayank Agarwal, general secretary of the literary club, said, “There was a lot of excitement among the students about the event. As they got into the competition, they became engrossed in it.” Saravan Kumar, president of the club, pointed out that such events enhance creativity and team work. “The competition gave us a chance to improve our inter-personal skills,” said Saravan.

Prathemesh Deshmukh, a participant, said, “It was a welcome break from academics. We got a chance to think out-of-the-box. These competitions may sound very simple but a lot of thinking has goes into it. These events bring the best in us.”
