Mumbai Magicians drew curtains to their campaign in the Hero Hockey India League in style, defeating Uttar Pradesh Wizards 3-2 to register their second consecutive win, here on Tuesday.
UP Wizards scored in the 22nd minute through Nithin Thimmaiah. But the Magicians made a remarkable comeback and pumped in three goals.
Gurjinder Singh levelled the scores for the Magicians by converting a penalty corner in the 31st minute before Prabhjot Singh (56th) and Glenn Turner scored.
The Wizards, however, reduced the margin of defeat when skipper VR Raghunath made use of a penalty corner.
