<p> Karnataka’s Manu Bajpai scored a sweet double, capturing the singles and doubles titles in the CRS Trust-AITA ranking tennis tournament at the KSLTA courts here on Friday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The 27-year old Bajpai first defeated top seed Nishant A Rebello 6-2, 6-1 in a lopsided singles final before teaming up with Sujit Sachidanand to lift the doubles crown as well, scoring a 6-3, 7-5 win over Nishanth and Rashein Samuel.<br /><br />The singles final failed to live up to the expectations as the talented Nishanth, a trainee of the Mahesh Bhupathi Tennis Academy (MBTA), chose to go on the defensive from the very beginning.<br /><br />On the other hand, Bajpai appeared very fluent, hitting fine winners on both flanks and harldy missing anything within his reach.<br /><br />Bajpai quickly galloped to a commanding 5-0 lead in the opening set before the 18-year-old scored a break to trail 2-5. <br /><br />Bajpai, however, held the eighth game to pocket the set comfortably.<br /><br />In the second, Bajpai broke Nishanth in the second and fourth games to again establish a 4-0 lead.
