<p> Fresh on the back of a facile 3-0 victory against Churchill Brothers, Bengaluru FC will be looking to topple United SC to extend their lead at the top of the table when the two sides meet in an I-League encounter here at the Kalyani Stadium on Thursday. <br /><br /></p>.<p>BFC (34 from 18), four points ahead of the second-placed Pune, will start strong favourites as United SC (20 from 18) haven’t won a League game since November 23 when they beat Dempo 2-1. <br /><br />The home side have not won in nine games and are in danger of relegation if they don’t arrest the slide. They also suffered a humiliating a 4-0 loss against Rangdajied in their last I-League game. <br /><br />However, BFC have not replicated their home form on the road having picked up only 10 of the available 21 points and this could be a cause for their coach Ashley Westwood. <br />Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Westwood said he was proud of the way his team reacted to recent results to bounce back against Churchill. <br /><br />“The mark of any successful side in any country in the world is how you react to defeats and we showed tremendous character to bounce back (against Churchill),” Westwood said.<br /><br />With just one of their remaining matches at home, BFC need to consistently start winning away from home if they want to stay at the top of the league.</p>
