Kin of passenger aboard MH370 slams govt

Anxious over the fate of his wife Chandrika Sharma, who is one of the passengers of the missing Malaysian aircraft that vanished in mid-air few days ago, K S Narendran on Wednesday hit out at the Indian Government for not “doing enough.”

“Till now they (government) have not contacted us to give any status update for the families of the passengers who were in the aircraft,” he said.

“It is inconceivable that a plane could vanish in thin air,” he said, adding they were waiting without end between hope and hopelessness. A visibly upset Narendran told the media that an official from the Tamil Nadu government had sought some information on the family few days ago. “However, there has been no information after that,” he added.
Stating that the Malaysian Airlines has offered assistance to travel to Kuala Lumpur, Narendran said travelling to Malaysia in the absence of definitive information on the fate of passengers appears premature. He also charged the Malaysian government with “hiding information.”

“It is ironical that in this era of satellite enabled world where people are sighted from thousands of miles away, and pin pointed, we have drawn a blank on the search for a big bird and hundreds of people in it,” Narendran said.
