Appearance
* Your choice of outfit must suit you perfectly and not be a copy of what looks good on another person.
* Plan your work clothes the night before. Ensure they are well-ironed. Examine for stains, tears, wrinkles, broken zippers and ripped seams.
* Strike the right balance when it comes to colours. They should neither be too loud, nor too pale. The shades and prints selected should deliver a professional, not casual look.
* Always wear well-tailored garments which fit well. The fabrics should be cool and allow your skin to breathe, and not be too tight or fitted to your body.
* Sarees/dupattas should be neatly pinned with discreet pins. Sarees should be worn without the navel being visible.
* Footwear should be well-maintained, polished and comfortable. Avoid high heels. Heels, if worn, should not be more than two inches.
* The use of a foot spray before you leave home is essential, especially if you are wearing closed shoes. This is to avoid any kind of embarrassing odour.
* Jewellery and accessories should be suitable for professional wear, and go well with your attire. They should be conservative yet elegant and not too flashy.
* For women, large, dangling or flashy earrings/bangles/chains at work are completely out of trend and give an unprofessional finish.
