Jawans get the better of BUCC in super over

Jawa­ns CC prevailed over BUCC (1) by four runs in a super over after their scores were tied after 20 overs in the KSCA T20 tournament here.

After Jawans had made 13/1 in the super over, BUCC could only muster nine runs. Earlier, David Mathias’ 54 had propelled Jawans to 143/5 in their 20 overs and BUCC made the exact score for the loss of nine wickets.

In one of the day’s other matches, Mount Joy CC comfortably beat Swastic Union by eight wickets in a high scoring clash.

After Shreyas Gopal and Udit B Patel’s half-centuries had lifted Swastic to 181/8 in heir 20 overs, Mount Joy chased down the target in just 16.2 overs with M Vishwanathan scoring an unbeaten 149.
