Further, with CAT organisers using the Candidate Care helpline 1800 103 9293 for all queries including the details of reschedule, candidates are now complaining that the number is always busy.

A candidate, Adithi (name changed) had to wait over half- an-hour on the call for access and subsequently had to endure a series of transfers to different call centres. “I had to wait over half-an-hour and then the call was connected to Delhi and Bhopal. And after finally getting through, I heard cross-talk by one of the agents who was indulging in prolonged small talk,” she alleged.

Eventually Adithi, whose test was originally scheduled for November 30 had to hang up as the helpline was shut off for the day. “I was trying desperately to get my reschedule but now because of that agent I don’t have a fresh schedule,” she alleged.

Another candidate Kavita (name changed), who was scheduled originally scheduled for the Garden City College on November 30 has been trying to get past the busy tone for nearly two days without any success. “At around 11 pm on November 29, I got an SMS that the test was cancelled at Garden City College. That is the last communication I have got from the organisers and for the last two days I have been unable to contact the candidate care number,” she said. Meanwhile, there were fresh reports of candidates from Bhopal and Ahmedabad getting rescheduled slots for the very next day at centres as far as Kolkata and Guwahati, leaving them with no option but to forego the tests.
