<p>The last rites of Sri Suyateendrateertha swami, the seer of the Mantralaya Raghavendraswamy Mutt, were performed in Mantralaya on Friday, reports DHNS from Raichur. <br /><br /></p>.<p>The 80-year-old pontiff passed away early on Friday morning after a brief illness. The ailing seer handed over the administration of the Mutt to his successor, Sri Subhudhendrateertha swami, on March 10. <br /><br />The senior seer was treated at the Raghavendraswamy mutt at Barkathpur in Hyderabad for age-related problems and lung infection. He was interred in the Brindavan (tomb) constructed next to that of his mentor, Sushameendrateertha.<br /></p>
