Students of Moti Lal Nehru College (Evening) enjoyed two days of merrymaking as they celebrated the annual festival of their college ‘Ecstacy’. Fun-filled activities, competitions, fashion show and gigs kept the students engaged as well as enthralled. For first year students, undoubtedly, it was the first-time experience of participating the college fest but for the final year students it was more of a nostalgic affair as they were organising the 50th edition of the fest.

Therefore, making it a memorable affair, students invited singers like Shipra Goyal and popular Punjabi pop singer ‘A-Baaz’. Aabhaas Anand better known by his stage name ‘A-bazz’ made the students groove when he sang some popular Yo Yo Honey Singh numbers like Chaar botal vodka, High heels and many more.

He electrified the student crowd with his original compositions like Dhoka, Munnde takkde ne, Tere Liye, Ja chali ja and others.

The festival took on a more mesmerising note when Bollywood singer Shipra Goyal took over the stage. She spread romance in the air with her song Ishq Bulava which she sung for Parineeti Chopra in the film Hasee Toh Phasee.

The mood was set. With her rendition of populr numbers like Zehanseeb, Tum Hi Ho, Chahun main ya naa and other popular Bollywood love songs, she captivated the assembled gathering with students swaying their hands and singing along with her. She spiced up the mood with some popular Bollywood masala songs too.

Keeping the students engaged, especially boys was the fashion show. Unlike other college fashion shows where students design clothes and walk the ramp, Moti Lal Nehru College students invited Panipat-based designer, Ritambara Palia to showcase her collection ‘Ruttaba’. Ritambara has already done many fashion shows here but after making her own label, this was the first time she presented her collection in Delhi.

Meanwhile, students actively participated in singing, dancing, theatre and street play competitions. Though participation of students from different colleges in the competitions was negligible, it was still fun for students to be a part of various activities. Hip Hop Hustler, the college’s own dancing group hogged the limelight with their amazing western dance performance.

Meanwhile, in the street play competition, students of Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies left students awestruck. With their act on women empowerment they also became the winners of the competition.
