K Kushala has filed two nominations. A total of 18 cases have been filed under violation of model code of conduct so far in the district.

Surveillance

In the inter-state officials meet held in Kasargod on Sunday, it has been decided to keep all inter-state border check posts of Karnataka and Kerala  under strict surveillance. The checking will be made compulsory on Lok Sabha election days on April 10 and 17.

The officials of the bordering districts of Kerala have decided to exchange the voters list to ensure that there is no multiple registration of names.  Check posts have already been set up at Talapady, Jalsoor and Ukkuda. Few more check posts will be set up in the district.

As there are possibilities of misuse of lorries used for transportation of fish and fish products in the border areas, it has been decided to check the vehicles thoroughly in the border. The meeting has also decided to keep an eye on star campaigners campaining in the constituencies.
