Unveiling its packages, especially for the monsoon season, General Manager Biswajit Chakraborti said Leela expects a spurt in internal tourism because Indians are overexposed to overseas travels and are now looking back to their homeland.
Leela’s Monsoon package which starts from Rs 5,250 onwards is valid till July 1, 2009. He also pointed out that with 60 to 70 per cent occupancy rate, Leela Kovalam has kept the impact of global recession at bay.
“Though there is a drop in customers coming from IT sector, we have a steady flow from public sector enterprises and from baking sector,” said Chakraborti.
