The National Law School of India University (NLSIU) has launched an annual e-journal that aims to be an interface between interdisciplinary subjects such as law, environment, policy and development.

The ‘eJLEPD’ (e-journal on Environmental Law, Policy and Development) will serve as a platform to “promote, involve and engage students and scholars” interested in environmental law.

The Centre for Environment Education, Research and Advocacy (CEERA), NLSIU, released the first issue that features six studies, two of which are by students.

“We received 45 entries from students, out of which we shortlisted the best two. The aim is to promote the spirit of research among students. We also want foreign authors to contribute to the journal,” said Sairam Bhat, CEERA co-ordinator and chief editor, eJLEPD.

Armin Rosencranz, Consulting Professor, Stanford University, Robert Lee, Professor in Environmental Law, Exeter University, Devon, United Kingdom as well as Ishwara Bhat, vice chancellor, WB National University of Juridical Science, Kolkata, are among members of the editorial advisory board.
