CM launches civic works

The CM who laid the foundation stone for construction of a flyover and an underpass at Mahadevapura junction and Kaadubeesanahalli said that the expenditure on development works would be made public within a few days.

Yeddyurappa, who also laid a foundation stone to construct the multipurpose Ambedkar Bhavan at Mahadevapura, said that his government initiated a Rs 7,500 crores project for infrastructure development.

The Rs 38.67 crore flyover coming up at Mahadevapura junction aims at providing a signal free traffic connecting areas in Bangalore South, East and North. The flyover will be six-laned. The underpass at Kaadubesanahalli will be 24.50 meters wide with seven meter bus lane and seven meter slip roads on either side.

The underpass to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 39.80 crores will have two approach roads of 270 meters and 266 meters respectively and aims at decongesting the traffic and air pollution enroute to White feild and K R Puram.
