A gang of more than people, armed with lethal weapons, allegedly created a ruckus over a personal dispute at Meenakshi Meadows, a resort on Hulimangala Road in Jigani late on Tuesday night.

The suspects allegedly attacked a few workers of the resort and customers and robbed their valuables. The manager’s cabin was also vandalised, said the police.

The incident occurred around 10 pm and the suspects reached the spot by two four-wheelers and bikes. They ransacked the manager’s cabin and attacked a few cars parked outside. They allegedly attacked some customers as well and threatened them. Some workers of the resort fled to safety noticing the incident. There were two CCTV cameras which captured the incident, said the police.

A case of dacoity

B Ramesh, Superintendent of Police, Bangalore Rural district, termed the incident a case of dacoity. The police would probe the incident from all angles and arrest the suspects, he said.

It is the second such incident in the area. An unknown gang carried out a similar attack on Satellite Club in Kengeri on the night of April 1. The gangsters had fled with valuables worth around Rs 7 lakh then.

The police suspected that the same gang was involved in both the cases.
