First round of counselling for PGET concludes

The first round of counselling for the postgraduate medical and dental courses (PGET) for the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) concluded here on Wednesday.

On the second day of counselling for medical courses, 6,387 out of the 7,587 eligible candidates were scheduled for seat selection. Of the 267 students who attended the counselling, 157 were from Karnataka.

At the beginning of the day, there were a total of 182 seats available: 100 in the General Merit category, 20 in Tulu minority, 19 in Christian Minority and 43 in the Hyderabad Karnataka Region quota. By the end of the counselling session, there were 40 seats remaining in the General Merit category, 8 in Tulu minority, 4 in Christian Minority and 22 in the Hyderabad Karnataka Region Quota.

Of the 108 seats selected by candidates on the second day of medical counselling, 70 were taken by candidates from Karnataka.
