The Marshal community of India - Gorkhas, celebrated 'Khalanga mela', near Dehradun on Dec 7.
This festival is celebrated in memory of martyr Birbhadra Singh, who fought against the Britishers in 1814 and defeated the English army in two battles. Numerous Gorkhali folk dancers performed on the occasion.
