Farewell to the portals of knowledge

Bidding Adieu’, a farewell programme was organised for the final-year students of Vasavi Vidyanikethan Degree College recently.

   This touching event saw the students give a power-point presentation which embraced the campus activities and the cultural and sport events of the academic year 2013-14.

Most of the video clippings were focussed on final-year students, reminding them of their memorable days spent on the college campus.

    They showcased the mischievous pranks played by the students near the canteen, on the parapet of the open space, at the parking area, at the entrance with the security guard and made the students nostalgic.

The students also highlighted the entire year’s academic programmes conducted in the business lab, computer lab, auditorium and the classrooms.

The students were excited that the event came out well. Sathyavathi of final-year BCom, who had taken the lead in compiling the events, was enthusiastic about her new idea.

   She said, “I wanted all my friends and teachers to have a bird’s view of the happenings of the past academic year. With the background music, the presentation came out very effectively.”

Anjali R and Chatura VP, the student council president and secretary said, “There is a message one
can take back home, from today’s programme.” 

Nagarathna, another final-year student said, “My eyes welled up after listening to the speeches and seeing the video clippings. How soon the days have flown!”

The president of VVN Trust, Subbaraj, presided over the function and highlighted the importance of being time-conscious.
