The elections are over, and visitors have started pouring in for the BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.

P A Sangma came to meet Modi with his daughter Agatha. Officials in the CMO said the meeting was a courtesy call by the leader. Sangma, who broke away from the NCP and launched his own National People’s Party, has already formed an alliance with the BJP-led NDA.

Addressing mediapersons, Sangma said he was in Gandhinagar to convey his wishes to India’s next prime minister.

Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh also called on Modi.

The other visitors who are likely to visit him over the next few days include former BJP president Nitin Gadkari.

Meanwhile, writing on his blog, Modi expressed gratitude to voters for turning out in large numbers, and also thanked and praised the efforts of the Election Commission.
