JOIN USBJP was making impressive gains in the Lok Sabha elections with the party leading in 150 seats out of 285 seats for which trends were available across the country.
The ruling Congress was lagging behind with leads in only 36 seats.
BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi was leading with 1.43 lakh votes in Vadodara in Gujarat and Congress President Sonia Gandhi was leading with over 3000 votes in Rae Bareli.
Among the political parties, TMC was ahead in 14 seats followed by AIADMK and Shiv Sena were leading in nine seats each. Samajwadi Party was leading in eight seats, TRS in six seats, TDP in four seats. The newcomer Aam Aadmi Party was leading in four seats.
Among other parties, YSR Congress was leading in five seats, BSP in four seats, SAD in three seats and BJD in one seat.
In Uttar Pradesh, BJP was leading in 36 out of 57 seats, trends for which were available. SP was ahead in 11 seats, BSP three, Congress one, Apna Dal one.
BJP was also leading in 19 seats out of 22 seats, for which trends were available in Rajasthan. Congress was ahead in two seats.
BJP was leading in 11 seats and its ally Shiv Sena in 9 seats in Maharashtra as per the trends available for 24 seats. NCP was leading in two and Congress in one seat.
In Madhya Pradesh, BJP was leading in 22 seats and Congress in two seats out of 24.
BJP was also ahead in five seats in Chhattisgarh and Congress in one.
In Tamil Nadu, AIADMK was leading in all the 11 seats, for which trends were available.
BJP was also leading in 17 seats in Karnataka, Congress in seven and JD(S) two out of 26 seats.
BJP was making impressive gains in Assam as it was leading in eight seats while Congress was ahead only in two out of 13 seats for which trends were available.
