<p> Two persons were shot at by unidentified motorcycle-borne assailants at south-east Delhi’s Govindpuri area on Wednesday night. Police said that while it looks like a case of personal enmity, they haven’t been able to identify the assailants.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The two victims Tarun and Nitin live in separate Delhi Development Authority flats in Kalkaji and together run a packed-water supply business. <br /><br />They were taking a walk on the main road near street number eight of Govindpuri area when two unidentified men arrived on a motorcycle and shot at the duo without even stopping the two-wheeler.<br /><br />A bullet each hit the victims in their leg even as the attackers sped away.<br /><br />Helmets hide faces<br /><br />Police said the victims have told them that the assailants were wearing helmets which made it impossible for them to identify them.<br /><br />The entire operation was so swift that the victims were also unable to note the registration number or make of the motorcycle.<br /><br />Locals heard the sound of gunshots and arrived to find the two men injured.They informed police who took the victims to AIIMS trauma centre where their condition is said to be stable. Two empty cartridges were found from the spot.<br /><br />The two victims themselves have been booked for criminal cases in the past which makes police believe that it was a case of personal enmity.<br /><br />However, the victims have not mentioned any clear case of enmity with anyone and they are being questioned by the police in order to identify the culprits.<br /><br />A case of attempt to murder has been registered against unidentified people at Govindpuri police station and investigations are on, said a police officer.<br /></p>
