CLAT results withheld

Technical discrepancies cited as reason

The result of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), 2014 that was declared late on May 31, has been withheld till further order.

“Due to some technical discrepancies, the CLAT 2014 results declared on May 31 stand withheld till further intimation and guidelines on the admission process,” said a notification on the official CLAT website.

Although students were able to access their results from 8 pm on May 31, many of them were of the opinion that there were a number of discrepancies in their results.

It was not until the next day, June 1, that the notification was put up on the website. 

A Facebook group called, “CLAT 2014 - I want to see my OMR” that already has around 600 members, has a number of posts that has been discussing errors in the result.

A post put up by one Sandeep Krishnan reads, “I have attempted 155 questions in CLAT and sure to get 120+ but got only 89.25 ....this is something that I can’t believe till now and it’s too hard for me to digest….”  

Bimal N Patel, director of the GNLU and convener of CLAT, 2014 was unavailable for comment.
