JOIN USThe ‘Environment Day’ was celebrated in the Silicon City PU College by the eco-club team members, headed by Harinakshi, lecturer, Biology, to bring awareness among the students to save the environment.
The programme began with the slogan ‘Go Green’ and was inaugurated by HM Mukunda, director of Silicon City group of institutions. |
Chitrashekar, an industrialist, and principal Adilakshmi were present on the occasion. Environment awareness was presented in the form of song, mime show, slide presentation, video clips from ‘Nagarahole, the Tales from Indian Jungles’ and a message.
Students from Science and Commerce streams presented the message on how to protect forests and endangered species to maintain the ecological balance.
The students donated a few saplings which were planted in the college
campus.
