Having managed a modest 216 all out in 55.5 overs courtesty, L Lakshmikanth’s unbeaten 111, Jolly Crickeers skittled Neptune Cricket Club for 172 in 38.4 overs with Chetan claiming 7/52.
Jolly Cricketers then ran up 275/9 in 53.1 overs in their second innings for an overall lead of 319. Neptune hung on to manage a draw after finishing their second innings at 224/7, Chetan dismissing five of them for 97.
In another match, Raj Kumar slammed an unbeaten 180 (272b, 16x4) as Mount Joy Cricket Club posted 328/9 in 90 overs, a one-run lead over Jayanagar Colts’ 327 all out in 79.2 overs. It was a nerve-wrecking match in which fortunes swung either way quite often before Mount Joy squeezed past the line.
