The Chennai police have handed over the custody of prime accused in Malleswaram bomb blast case to the City police.
According to a top police source, Panna Ismail, Police Fakrudeen and Bilal Malik are suspected to be behind blast near the BJP head office in Malleswaram on April 17, 2013. Intense search landed the trio in Tamil Nadu police net in October last.
“They will be brought to the City late on Friday night. Their custody is crucial as more information can be gathered from them during their interrogation. More arrests can be made, if required,” the sources said.
The police arrested Malik and Ismail from Andhra Pradesh based on the information provided by Fakrudin who was arrested in Tamil Nadu in October. The police are also looking out for Abubaker, who is suspected to be an another important member of the gang.
