Land developer dies in a road accident

According to the police, Munikrishnappa was standing near his car after parking it in front of Balaji travels on Pattegarapalya Main Road. A speeding four wheeler lost control and rammed against Munikrishnappa who was thrown up on the road and started bleeding profusely.  The vehicle driver got down from his vehicle but fled the scene seeing Munikrishnappa in a pool of blood abandoning his vehicle. Munikrishnappa was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead, said the police.

Munikrishnappa is survived by two sons and three daughters. The eldest daughter is Huchchappa’s wife. The police have launched a search operation to nab the accused.
Munikrishnappa had formed the Munikrishnappa layout in the City, said the police.

Woman hangs self
 A woman was found hanging from the ceiling fan at her Ramamurthy Nagar residence on Monday. Police said, Kasturi (30), took the extreme step between 11 am and 12 noon. The reason behind the alleged suicide could not be known. Neighbours said that from the last few days she was seen in a tense condition. Investigations are on.

Four killed
Four people were killed in separate road accidents in the City.
According to information received, a youth Manjunath was runover by a four-wheeler at Peenya, Monday evening. One the same day one Sampangi was killed when a four-wheeler rammed into him at Mico Layout.

 In a third incident one Akram Pasha was crushed under a speeding vehicle at Chamarajpet while a youth, who is yet to be identified, was killed in a ghastly mishap at Madiwala.

18 held for various crimes
The Bangalore City police arrested 18 persons recently in connection with different cases and recovered cash, gold jewellery, bikes and cards.
The Chamarajpet police arrested 6 persons for gambling and recovered Rs 5,600 cash and cards. The accused are Sanjay, Anand Reddy, Badriddin and Vijay, all from Chamarajpet and Shekhar of Anjananagar. On a tip off, the police raided a venue on 4th main road and arrested the accused.

In another case, the police arrested Bhaskar, Muralidhar, both from Basaveshwarnagar, Prakash and Bharath of Yeshwanthpura, Chandan of Subramanyanagar, Velu of Kurubarahalli, B Shiva of Rajajinagar, Ramaswamy of Prakashnagar, Venkatesh of Vijaynagar and Raju of Manjunathnagar and recovered Rs 1.81 lakh cash, 12 cellphones and gold chains and rings worth Rs 1.20 lakh.
Based on a tip off, the police raided room number 401 in Shivals Hotel in Rajajinagar fifth block and arrested the accused, added the police.
