Bus mows down pedestrian

 A 60-year-old pedestrian was killed on the spot after a private bus from Tamil Nadu mowed him down at Siddapura Junction in Wilson Garden.

The victim was identified as Nanjundappa, a resident of Siddapura. The  accident occurred when he was crossing the road on Sunday night.

He sustained severe head injuries and was shifted to Nimhans where he died on Monday. Wilson Garden Traffic Police seized the bus and arrested the driver.

32 stolen bikes recovered

The Kadugodi police have recovered as many as 32 stolen bikes worth Rs 20 lakh, by arresting a garage employee.

The suspect, identified as Pavan Kumar Reddy, 19, is a native of Andhra Pradesh. He allegedly used fake keys to drive away the bikes.

According to police, he was employed at a two-wheeler garage near Marathahalli and would steal bikes.
