Brahma rathotsava observed with pomp and gaiety in Bangarpet

Thousands of devotees from the district and neighbouring states had arrived to witness the car festival. The car festival began after MLA M Narayanaswamy offered special poojas. The historically famous temple comes under the Muzrai Department of the government.

The people from neighbouring villages offer ‘Tambittina aarti’ ( a sweet laddoo on which camphor is lit) as a part of the ritual to the god.

Cattle fair
The rathotsava is also known for the cattle fair held in the vicinity of the temple. Farmers, traders and people from many neighbouring district arrive here to sell and purchase cattle. Free food is supplied to the devotees who have arrived for the rathotsava.

Zilla panchayat member M Ramachandra, DySP Sheshadri, Executive Officer Dr Venkatswamy, TP member Hanumakka Venkatesh, GP president Mohan, leaders Ramappa, Byatappa and others were present on the occasion.
