Lanka team praises legislature session

He was addressing the media after his visit to the world famous Chennakeshava temple here on Thursday.

“We witnessed the proceedings of the State Assembly and are impressed by its systematic organisation. The Sri Lankan parliament lags behind in several aspects when compared to the session held here. This calls for some changes in our parliamentary proceedings”, he said. The 17-member team of the Sri Lankan government offered prayers at the temple.

Bandara said that the team, on a study tour on an invitation from the Karnataka government, would visit various historical places in the State.

Officer of Protocol Division of the Karnataka Secretariat M S Kumaraswamy, Deputy Director of Food and Civil Supplies Department D R Vishwanath, shirastedar Nagaraj Tourism Department’s Thammanna Gowda were present.
