The Aam Aadmi Party is preparing for its next electoral battle for the Delhi Assembly and a strong indication of this came from the release of a new recorded audio message of its national convenor and former chief minister Arvind Kejriwal.

The message slammed the BJP’s alleged attempts to cobble up a majority in the Assembly through horse-trading.

The message in Hindi by Kejriwal said, “The BJP is resorting to dishonest and highly unethical methods of trying to form the government by offering Rs 20 crore each to many MLAs. Is this democracy?”

A party statement said the recorded message was being sent to people using different platforms available for disseminating audio information.

In the message, Kejriwal also said, “If the BJP forms the government using such illegitimate methods and by spending hundreds of crores, then such a dishonest government will only increase your electricity bills, indulge in corruption and price rise.”

“Would a government formed through dishonest means like horse trading be able to provide safety for women? Why is Mr Narendra Modi silent?” he said.

In the Delhi Assembly,  BJP and its ally Akali Dal have 29 MLAs, AAP 27, Congress eight and there are three others.

AAP also launched a campaign comparing the achievement s of the 49-day-long Kejriwal government with the first 49 days of the Narendra Modi government.

Several autorickshaws in the city are carrying posters raising issues related to price rise, power cuts and water shortage.
